Okay, I've been MIA for a long time. Which is lame of me, but also smart. Because as much as I love blogging and sometimes hope to make it a real "job", I have a lot of other items on my plate that take priority. So, I needed to take a step back and figure out some things.
But I'm back now! And ready to roll! :)
First up, in The Great Kate Improvement Project, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I have lost a little over 30 lbs since January. Yay! AND I'm nearing my halfway point - a fact that is totally exciting and also a bit daunting. Because if all this work is leading to halfway, then I have some really tough stuff ahead of me!
The bad news is that I had a really horrible week last week. Two weeks ago, I was .5 lbs from a milestone, a really exciting fabulous number. Then, I found out that I gained over 3 lbs the next week. Which means I went in expecting to be wowed and came out destroyed. I'll be honest, I got pretty discouraged. I kept telling myself, "THIS is why I shouldn't have started this, THIS feeling." Which is so ridiculous and horrible and unmotivating, but that's where my head went. Luckily, I have good friends and, apparently, some willpower because I picked myself back up and righted my perspective. So, hopefully, at tomorrow's weigh in... I will be at least 2 lbs down. Yes, I'd LOVE to be past that milestone point, but I'm realistic enough to realize that you can't expect a 4 lb loss every week or you'll just give up.
