Focus On... Going Places 2! {And A Giveaway!}

Ginger is the mastermind behind Going Places 2, the inspirational shop featured here. I fell in love with her doggy silhouettes and moving quotes the first time I saw them and I guarantee you will too! Read on for her interview and her lovely giveaway offer!

Tell me some basic info about yourself. I am a wife and mom of two grown boys. I love to read, walk, zumba, ride my bike with my husband and most of all create! I regularly volunteer at my towns’ community center as well as my church. While we don’t have a dog of our own at this time, we do have two grand dogs, a black lab and a yellow lab who visit often!

What kind of mediums do you use and why? I do all of my designing on a computer using CorelDraw.

What made you decide to sell on etsy? It is so user friendly and already has a huge customer base. I have used it for years for buying my own gifts. I love shopping online and I think Etsy is a fun place to both shop and sell.

Where do you get your inspiration? Once I decide on the dog I would like to create, I do a little research and then look for a quote that either fits his size or personality. I look for things in nature to add to the prints – a leaf, branch, butterfly, bird, etc.

What is your favorite music to craft by? I will find a soft rock station online – I like all kinds of music as long as it’s not the crazy, head banging kind.

When it's cold outside... I like to make a cup of tea and curl up with a good book.

If I could give one gift to everyone I know, it would be... hope. As long as we have that, everything will be OK

If I could have coffee with anyone, it would be... I think it would be so fun to sit down will all of my great grandmothers from the past and just talk about their lives. I never knew any of them and it would be so interesting to see if I could find any hints of who I am today.

What's your favorite piece of your own? I have the little blue Yorkie at my desk with the quote from Aesop ~“No act of kindness no matter how small is ever wasted.” It’s an everyday reminder to be kind in big and small ways. I also love the Saint Bernard with the Donald Trump quote “As long as you’re going to be thinking anyway, think big.”
